Privacy policy
This is the privacy policy for samirfaza.dk, the website of Samir Faza, an independent wedding and elopement photographer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It explains what information this site collects, how it's used, and the rights you have under the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Danish data protection law.
1. Who's responsible

2. What data is collected
When you browse the site
With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages couples visit, how long they stay, and roughly where in the world they're visiting from (country level). Specifically:
- Pages viewed and time on page
- Approximate location (country / region, never street-level)
- Device type, browser, and screen size
- How you arrived at the site (search engine, Instagram, direct, etc.)
Your IP address is anonymised before it reaches Google. Advertising and cross-site tracking cookies are explicitly disabled.
If you click Decline on the cookie banner — or never see the banner because tracking isn't configured — none of this is collected. You can change your mind at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.
When you send an inquiry
The contact form collects your name(s), email address, wedding date, location, and any message you send. This is used only to reply to your inquiry and, if you book, to plan and deliver your photographs. It's stored in my email inbox and (if you book) in my booking software. It is never shared, sold, or used for marketing.
If your inquiry doesn't lead to a booking, your message is deleted from my inbox after 12 months.
3. Cookies
This site uses one set of cookies only — those set by Google Analytics 4 after you click "Accept" on the banner. These cookies do not contain personal information and are used purely to count returning visitors correctly.
- _ga — distinguishes visitors. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<ID> — used by GA4 to maintain session state. Expires after 2 years.
No advertising, tracking, or social-media cookies are set.
4. Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data this site holds about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate
- Ask for your data to be deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent for analytics at any time (use the "Manage cookies" link in the footer, or clear your browser's site data)
- Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you believe your data is being mishandled

5. Third-party services used
- Google Analytics 4 — visitor analytics (with your consent)
- Google Fonts — typography. Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN; Google may log the IP address making the request
- Bluehost — web hosting. Bluehost's servers log access requests for security purposes
- Formspree (if used for the contact form) — forwards inquiry messages to my email
6. Changes to this policy
Any future changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes will be noted briefly in the cookie banner.
